The mission of Goodwill North Central Texas is to CREATE Lives of Independence and BUILD a Stronger Local Community
About us
Goodwill is more than a thrift store. The largest employer of people with disabilities in the world, Goodwill believes that work has the power to transform lives by building self-confidence, independence, creativity, trust and friendships. Everyone deserves this chance. Goodwill North Central Texas is based in Fort Worth and serves 18 counties in the region. The nonprofit’s 26 area retail locations provide revenue through the sale of donated goods to support Goodwill’s mission to CREATE lives of independence and BUILD a stronger local community. Job training and career services programs for people with disabilities, such as physical or mental disabilities, and other barriers to employment including lack of education or work experience and homelessness are guided by the organization’s vision of a North Central Texas where every person has the opportunity for maximum independence and abundant living. 🌤️This summer, I had the pleasure of hiring two interns for our Goodwill North Central Texas Workforce Development Department. Alyssa, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas State University now has been hired full-time with our Opportunity Accelerator team! Ian returned to New York to begin his sophomore year at Ithaca College. 📚✏️🎓 These interns were a great addition to my team, especially during our audit season! This gave each of them an insight into what nonprofit work is like. They learned about our mission and what services we offer to the community. 🥰

We had an amazing time partnering with Goodwill North Central Texas at their citywide job fair! It was an incredible opportunity to connect with candidates and collaborate with organizations dedicated to making North Texas an even better place to live and work. Together, we’re not just creating jobs; we’re building a stronger, more vibrant community. A huge thank you to everyone involved for making this event such a success! #CommunityImpact #JobFair #NorthTexas #Partnerships #Opportunities #CompanieswithSoul #StaffingPartner
