Thanks to Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller for touring Goodwill’s new Opportunity Center and our San Mateo Blvd. location this past week! We appreciate our collaboration with the City of Albuquerque and the opportunity to do good work together. 

Goodwill partners with the City of Albuquerque to host Community Resource Fairs each quarter for Gateway West residents. On Monday, our Goodwill team and 32 other service providers met with more than 300 residents to offer medical screenings, job opportunities and skills training, housing support, pet care, and more. When you shop at or donate gently used items to Goodwill, you’re helping to fund our programs and services that assist New Mexicans in finding jobs or accessing specialized social services. People often ask, “What happens to all the profits from donations sold in Goodwill thrift stores?” As a local non-profit, 88 cents of every dollar acquired through our endeavors goes directly back into our mission to help New Mexicans get jobs in the community and gain access to specialized social services such as our Supportive Services for Veteran Families.
