In my original coffee career I’m the founder of a small specialty coffee brand called Populace Coffee.
We are mostly regional, online, and retail alongside some long-standing wholesale partnerships.
One of our missions was to change the way that coffee companies source and sell their merchandise. Since coffee brands are typically “coffee first” we always thought it was wild how much budget and waste went into custom t-shirts and beanies.
To each their own.
So we decided to do things a little bit different. We sought out a line of clothing that was already worn or “previously loved” as we would say.
These items were donated and in some instances on their way to an incinerator or to a landfill.
We reached out to Goodfair and asked if we could source a bunch of blanks.
We embroidered them here in our hometown.
Now with each release we sell a few more each time and help preserve our mission of sustainability.
This year Sprudge recognized this product as a finalist in the design awards. The catergory being Design in Support of a Social Impact Campaign.
We would love to receive your support with a vote, if you have the time.
Cheers!
