Sept. 30 is annually recognized as National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and coincides with Orange Shirt Day, highlighting the damage the residential school system did to the well-being of Indigenous children. Equally, it serves as a healing journey for the survivors and a commitment by all who wear an orange shirt, that every child matters. Residents, staff and family from Good Samaritan Society – International Falls in International Falls, Minnesota, recently recognized the day and wore orange shirts to show that every child matters!

Today, Sanford Health broke ground on Good Samaritan Society – Founder's Crossing, a first-of-its-kind senior community in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. “Over the next five years, the population of adults over 65 will grow by nearly 20% in the Sioux Falls area,” said Nate Schema, president and CEO of the Good Samaritan Society. “More senior housing units are needed to keep up with the growth and ensure seniors have access to care and a community designed specifically for them. We couldn’t be more excited to bring this level of service to Sioux Falls and support the needs of the community.” Read more about the leading-edge campus: https://san.fo/3BtDBXl
