Good Samaritan and St. Mary’s are honored to support the 6th Annual West Palm Beach Fire Department 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb on Sunday, September 8th. The event will take place at 515 N. Flagler Dr. at 9am and features a memorial stair climb, 5K and #Crossfit competition. Half of the proceeds go to Operation300 founded in honor of Special Operations Chief (SEAL) Aaron Vaughn and the rest of the proceeds go to Pediatric Oncology Support Team, Inc. (POST), a psychosocial support team that provide free services to the families of children battling cancer. Please join us in welcoming Derek Collins, Group Chief Strategy Officer (CSO). In his role, Collins will lead the strategic planning, service line development, and new business venture efforts to support a strategy of growth and expansion of the Palm Beach Health Network. Collins comes from Tenet Healthcare’s corporate office in Dallas, Texas, where he served as Senior Director of Business Planning. In that role, he led enterprise-wide business planning to drive growth for Tenet’s ambulatory surgery centers, hospital and physician practices. He spearheaded a multifaceted team supporting service-line expansion, sales operations optimization, and new facility development. He has diverse work experience, spanning various industries with a strong emphasis on program development. Prior to joining Tenet, he worked at McKinsey & Company where he served as an Engagement Manager. Before joining McKinsey, Collins was employed at DaVita Kidney Care, where he held the positions of Manager, Home Modalities and Analyst, Corporate Strategy. Collins earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from Brigham Young University, and his Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management. Good Samaritan Medical Center is honored to partner with our sister facility St. Mary's Medical Center to support the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb in West Palm Beach on September 8th. Together, we aim to honor the bravery and sacrifice of the first responders who risked their lives on that fateful day. Participants in the stair climb will ascend 110 flights, symbolizing the heroic efforts of firefighters who climbed the World Trade Center towers. #StrongerTogetherForYou #PBHNProud
