The Global Coalition to Protect Education from Attack (GCPEA) is a unique inter-agency coalition formed in 2010 to address attacks on students, teachers, academics, schools, and universities during armed conflict. GCPEA is a coalition of organizations that includes Amnesty International, the Education Above All Foundation (EAA), Human Rights Watch, Plan International, Save the Children, UNICEF, and UNESCO. GCPEA is a project of the Tides Center, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.

August should mark the start of a new school year, but instead, Gaza’s 625,000 enrolled students are at risk of missing a second year of education.
