Archtober Continues! Join us on October 25th and October 31st for two more exciting tours: Lever House: A masterpiece of International Style, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM)’s Lever House first transformed commercial office design in 1952. With its 2023 restoration, it now boasts a revitalized lobby, updated outdoor spaces, and enhanced energy-efficient systems. PENN 2 - New York: A stunning 1.75 million square foot transformation designed by MdeAS Architects, PENN 2 sits atop the busiest transportation hub in North America. The redesign includes an iconic façade, a state-of-the-art addition called The Bustle, and 75,000 square feet of outdoor space! Earlier this month, we had an incredible tour at Sportime | John McEnroe Tennis Academy, the world’s largest indoor tennis facility during the winter season. We’re excited to announce the opening of the SkyLift at 30 Rockefeller Center, offering visitors stunning 360-degree views of New York City from an elevated, open-air platform. Designed by Montroy DeMarco Architecture LLP and THG Creative, and developed by Tishman Speyer, this project adds another level of excitement to one of NYC's most iconic destinations. Earlier, GMS provided structural engineering for the Beam Ride, an interactive experience on the 69th floor that allows visitors to recreate the iconic "Lunch atop a Skyscraper" photo while being lifted above the skyline. A huge congratulations to our GMS team—Anthony Pagnotta, Mike Pugliese, and Brendan O'Malley—for their contributions to the structural engineering that made this experience possible! From the mountains to the coasts, GMS has had the privilege of working on some of the most stunning single-family homes across New York and the Americas. Our projects span inland retreats, beachfront properties in hurricane-prone zones, and homes designed to withstand landslides and earthquakes on the Pacific coast. These residences feature a variety of materials—timber, steel, architecturally exposed concrete, and extensive glass facades—that reflect both beauty and resilience. #GMSProjects #LuxuryHomes #ResidentialEngineering #StructuralEngineering #DreamHomes #VacationHomes #ArchitecturalDesign #CoastalLiving #Throwback
