The Gilmore Car Museum offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity for volunteers – a place to share your love of cars and history with people from all over the nation. As a non-profit, we rely on a lot of great volunteers. Logging over 11,100 hours annually, volunteers at the Gilmore Car Museum help fulfill our mission by assisting us to maintain our incredible collection, exclusive venues, and beautiful 90-acre campus. Yesterday, we celebrated 72 volunteers by having our admin staff serving them lunch, followed by a brief ceremony, and a behind the scenes tour of one of our car storage facilities. Thank you to all the volunteers at the Gilmore Car Museum for helping us #DriveHistory! #Nonprofit #GiveBack #Volunteers #GilmoreCarMuseum

Gilmore Car Museum reposted this
Last week, F&V and our guests were treated to a one-of-a-kind event at the Gilmore Car Museum! We couldn’t think of a better way to spend an evening than enjoying dinner, drinks, vintage car displays, and rides. To make the night even sweeter, guests indulged in old-fashioned custard and fresh coffee served from the Blue Moon Diner. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us, and to the Gilmore Car Museum for your wonderful hospitality!

This past weekend, the Gilmore Car Museum community came together to help paint this beautiful mural, at our Mustang Meet-Up event. Make sure to stop by and check it out in person! The mural will be featured on our campus over the next few months at the H.H. Franklin Club Museum. This activity is supported by the Michigan Arts and Culture Council administered by Lowell Arts Council Inc. We thank them for their generosity in helping us foster the connections within our amazing community! #ComeTogether #Mural #MACC #ArtsandCulture #GilmoreCarMuseum #DriveHistory

Last week, we had a surprise visit from Zach DeLorean, son of John DeLorean. Also pictured, former DeLorean employee and current Gilmore Car Museum docent, Chris Duvall, Rich Weissensel, DeLoren owner and enthusiast, and our 1964 Pontiac GTO. You may or may not know, the Pontiac GTO, famously known as the first true muscle car, was one of John DeLorean’s many creations that forever changed the automotive landscape. DeLorean brought innovation and a rebellious spirit to the industry, challenging conventional designs and pushing the boundaries of automotive engineering. This moment is a meaningful reminder of how visionary contributions can create legacies that transcend generations. #DeLorean #PontiacGTO #AutomotiveIndustry #CarCommunity
