We've been working hard over the past year to master our craftsmanship, gain inventory, and lay the foundation of our business. Small Batch is giving purpose to materials utilized throughout the wine and whiskey making process that would ultimately go to waste: Handcrafted specialty wine and cocktail glasses, candles, and more sourced from upcycled bottles, and custom furnishings, bottle holders, charcuterie boards, and more from retired barrels. Several hand-made student products will be on display in partnership with Gilliam Center For Entrepreneurship to showcase creative #entrepreneurship. From JMU Entrepreneurship director, Suzanne Bergmeister, “I realized that there were many dorm room entrepreneurs at JMU we weren’t reaching.” So, she began exploring how Student-Made Store could make an impact at James Madison University.
