Gietz AG was represented with two machines in hall 3. The Gietz FSA 870 Compact was presented at the Univacco Technology Inc. booth, producing impressive embossed sheets in action - a real highlight for the visitors.   At the Gietz booth, we also presented the Gietz HTF 940 tray forming machine, which formed and glued Two-Compartment-Trays and Doggy-Bags. The blanks produced from paper by Holmen Iggesund and printed and die-cut by PAWI Group Packaging Schweiz AG were formed and glued on the Gietz HTF 940 with the help of W. H. Leary Co., Inc.'s gluing units. We presented the visitors with embossed hand soap packaging that had previously been produced on the Gietz FSA 1060 Foil Commander using foils from LEONHARD KURZ Stiftung & Co.KG embossing tools from Hinderer + Mühlich. We also introduced the new Illucode Foil & Workflow Optimization Software to many interested visitors.   Visitors to the MABEG Systems GmbH booth in Hall 9 were able to find out all about their products such as sheet feeders and reel sheeters.   A heartfelt thank you to all our valued partners! We were delighted to connect with Jeff Besnick and his McLean Packaging Corporation team at the Gietz AG booth at drupa – no. 1 for printing technologies. Gietz showcased their digital workflow and innovative software, “Illucode,” to save material, straighten hot foil stamping workflow, and increase performance by calculating foil and machine costs using only PDF data. President Hansjörg Gietz was proud to showcase their Gietz invention, the automated forming process, a sustainable and recyclable two-compartment tray for takeaway food! (Photo 2)

We had a great demonstration by Chris Leary at #drupa to learn more about Vinfoil's patented MFU technology! Chris demonstrated how their technology saves printers up to 85% of foil usage by redirecting a single narrow ribbon multiple times across a sheet, using what would otherwise be wasted material. Chris also described the efficiency savings: when a foil ribbon runs out, their changeover time is only 6 minutes (compared to 15+ minutes of other systems).
