Last week, we were thrilled to host Stephen Revetria, President of Giants Enterprises! at the University of San Francisco School of Management! Stephen shared his incredible journey of 25 seasons with the Giants Enterprises, offering insights on balancing innovation with tradition, his approach to leadership, and the future of California’s tourism industry. Stephen discussed the importance of navigating leadership challenges and how they shaped his approach in managing a historic organization like the Giants Enterprises. He shared valuable tips on maintaining work-life balance in a high-pressure role, including daily practices that enhance both well-being and effectiveness. As a recent appointee to the California Travel & Tourism Commission, he spoke about his vision for the state’s tourism industry and the key role of strategic partnerships. He highlighted the importance of listening to customer feedback and how it drives change at Giants Enterprises. For aspiring students in sports, events, and travel management, he emphasized the importance of gaining experience through internships and honing leadership skills early on. The biennial Visit California Poppy Awards honor the best and brightest of California tourism and recognize the creativity and effectiveness in tourism marketing. Our campaign partnered with San Francisco Travel Association, the San Diego Padres, San Diego Tourism Authority and Major League Baseball (MLB) to host multiple groundbreaking events with media, event planners and tour operators within Mexico — California’s largest international group of inbound travelers — across two days that culminated with two Giants-Padres games played in the Mexico City Series.
