Last week, Emily Voorde joined our Disability at Cruise community group for a lively conversation on advocacy, allyship, and of course, AVs and the future of transportation. Thank you Emily for being a part of our monthly celebrations for Disability Pride Month!

Happy Disability Pride Month! Yesterday I had the opportunity to chat with Cruise advocates & allies about active allyship, self-disclosure, "Ancora Imparo", and the future of accessible ground transportation. During our chat, Michele asked me how the availability of driverless, autonomous vehicles would impact my day-to-day. The answer is: IMMENSELY! 18.6 million Americans have travel-limiting disabilities that prevent them from being able to access employment, community, and commerce. The work Cruise is doing has the potential to provide otherwise unattainable independence for countless. Many thanks to Michele L. & Yariel Diaz for moderating such a robust conversation!

Cruise is a matching partner for this campaign and thanks to a triple match, every dollar donated will provide nine meals.
