Geisinger locations are open and caring for patients. You can arrive as scheduled for your appointment unless a member of your care team tells you differently. We’re working to resolve issues due to today’s global technology outage. Thanks for your patience with any delays during your visit.

Meet Samantha Davenport, an inspiring Geisinger Community Medical Center volunteer for the last 10 years! Sam has spina bifidia and maneuvers her volunteer duties in a wheelchair like a boss. If you’re greeted with a smiling face, helped to find your way or see flowers and balloons being brought to a patient’s room, it just might be our bright light, Sam. 🌟 She volunteered over 500 hours in 2023 alone and is nearing the 4,000-hour lifetime achievement mark. 🎖️ In recognition of Sam’s incredible contributions, we celebrate her this July, Disability Pride Month. It's the perfect time to honor her resilience, compassion and dedication to serving the community. Keep shining, Sam! Know someone interested in making a difference like Sam? Unlike urban health systems, Geisinger has to get creative to make sure rural patients can access the high-quality care they deserve. Using technology and making old-fashioned house calls are part of a winning strategy. https://lnkd.in/eiDCn-TH
