We were honoured to be part of the final weekend of the WXV tournament in Vancouver, with some extremely competitive games on the pitch from all of the WXV1 nations. Rugby Canada were well supported by a home crowd, but it was England that snatched the WXV trophy in an incredibly tight game of rugby. We were also delighted to invite our Gallagher High Performance coaches to BC Place to work with Childfund to run a rugby masterclass. The passion of the field from both the coaches and the participants was plain to see and shines a light on just how important our work with World Rugby is in growing the women’s game. So, how are organizations supporting their people? 92% of employer benefits include an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) that offers counseling and resources to support mental health and emotional wellbeing. 70% of employers provide virtual or telephonic mental health counseling. What areas can organizations improve on their mission to improve employee mental health? Only 42% of organizations feel that their managers are well-equipped to refer employees to mental health resources. A great place to start is offering HR and managers training to support their people's mental health. This strategic investment in training enhances satisfaction, helps reduce turnover, and builds a culture of trust.
