🌟 Celebrating Latino Culinary Heritage and Small Business Growth! 🌟 Thanks to a $100,000 contribution from SoCalGas, the Latino Restaurant Association awarded $3,500 grants to 23 Latino-owned restaurants across Fresno, Kings, and Tulare counties last week! These grants empower local restaurants to invest in vital equipment, upgrades, and technology to grow and better serve their communities. On September 26th, 2024, the Central Valley Training Center celebrated the success of Cohort 14 with a vibrant Job Fair held at the Portuguese Hall in Selma, CA. Sixteen dedicated students showcased their skills and eagerness to enter the workforce, connecting with representatives from eight leading businesses. Participating companies included the City of Selma CA, the Department of Transportation (Caltrans), LEO TIDWELL EXCAVATING CORPORATION, Dragados USA, Inc., the United States Postal Service, @Autry Plumbing Inc., and Tutor Perini Zachary Parsons. These businesses presented valuable information about their companies and highlighted exciting job opportunities, providing students with a direct pathway to potential employment. The Job Fair was a resounding success, fostering meaningful connections between motivated students and industry leaders. As Cohort 14 graduates embark on their professional journeys, they are well-prepared to make a positive impact on the Central Valley community.
