Hurricane Helene has devastated our Western North Carolina communities beyond anything we have ever seen. As we seek to fulfill our mission to provide trusted care, our concern first and foremost is how to contact and visit our patients. Our resilient and compassionate Four Seasons team is working hard to navigate terrain, find roads that are clear, navigate routes to reach our patients, and locate gas for our vehicles. There is limited food and water in many areas, and road outages that have made some communities “islands.” This is increasingly difficult as we are also faced with power, internet, and cell phone outages, which are making it challenging to reach or contact our patients. With all of these challenges, our team is pivoting and mobilizing as they are able. Please know our team has also been impacted as they live in these communities as well and we are also prioritizing them, their wellbeing and safety. Thank you to the amazing first responders in all 14 of our counties who have worked tirelessly through this storm to rescue our neighbors, relocate patients, and help us gain access to roads so that we can provide care.
