This beautiful young family says they had "nothing" when they moved into a Foundation Communities apartment. They'll never forget how relieved and touched they were when their Home for the Holidays sponsors delivered toys and gift cards to them. Their financial situation is still stressful today. They told us, "...for our daughter, if she can get gifts or anything, whatever you want to bless us with we’re really thankful." 600 families like this one are still seeking sponsorship this year in our Home for the Holidays program. For many of our neighbors, the holidays can be a difficult time. That's why Foundation Communities is kicking off our annual Home for the Holidays program, which benefits residents at our 30 apartment communities in Austin and North Texas, residents like Paulette and her two children. Sponsors can select a Foundation Communities’ property along with a family of their choice whose wish list will be provided. The deadline to sponsor a family is December 6. Make a Donation - Let us do the work for you! Funds will provide holiday gift cards, support residents with rental assistance and aid vital services all year long. To kick off their Doughvember give back event @Home Slice donated pizzas to our hard working Prosper team of staff and volunteers on the first day of Open Enrollment. From now until Giving Tuesday, December 3, you can support Foundation Communities by ordering a Vodka Pie, Tuscan kale Ceasar salad or Natural Wines from Home Slice! Since the Spring Terrace 2 miler race happened on Halloween, we had quite a few costumed participants. Just adds to the fun!

The annual Spring Terrace 2-Miler race got off to a fair and fun start yesterday. This event gives residents from our communities for single adults a chance to meet and get moving - run, walk, roll, whatever gets you around the building 10 times, or as many laps as you can do. Another great event organized by our Supportive Housing and Health Initiatives teams.

The Halloween celebration at Sierra Vista Learning Center included a scary haunted house. Enter by watching the video below... if you dare!

Our Learning Centers are safe places for children, but for Halloween, things can get a little scary! On Wednesday night, children and some parents got costumed up to celebrate the holiday with treats and fun activities.

We truly appreciate US Lloyd Doggett for once again helping our Health Coverage program kick off Open Enrollment for 2025. It starts tomorrow, November 1 through January 15. It's Halloween, and the holiday and creativity go hand in hand. Check out the pumpkins the students in our Learning Centers decorated. They bring some beloved children's storybook characters to life... as pumpkins! Foundation Communities staff picked the best design and those students will be treated to an ice cream party - but they're all winners! Which one is your favorite? (The Sesame Street design was done by staff).
