At Piedmont Medical Center-Fort Mill, Career and Technology Education students(CTE) had the opportunity to learn about state-of-the-art robotics with a hands-on demonstration of the Mako Robotic Arm system. They experienced how this technology can modernize healthcare by precisely aligning the joint and balancing the ligaments in knee replacement surgery. These beyond-the-classroom educational experiences provide CTE students with invaluable insight into the future of healthcare. https://lnkd.in/guhEZEXj

The South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) recently released the latest SC READY, EOC (End of Course) and Career Readiness Assessments scores for schools and districts across the state, and the Fort Mill School District is proud to announce that we continue to achieve academically at very high levels. Highlights: SC READY scores: Our district not only surpasses the state averages but also outperforms nearly every other comparable district in South Carolina. FMSD was the only district in the state to meet the 75% proficiency benchmark in three of the four EOC assessments. The district also achieved the 75% proficiency goals in all areas of the Career Readiness Assessment. We were the only district in the state to achieve this mark. We are so excited to share this incredible news! Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gYjGfeGw

The first day of school is almost as much fun for administrative staff and the school board as it is for the students! Superintendent Dr. Chuck Epps, administrators, and FMSD School Board members visited all 20 of our school sites on the first day. Thanks to ALL of our students, teachers, staff, and parents for making it a terrific day!

"Something I've noticed that is a little different here is a big majority of the students in this school and in this district have a genuine love for learning." Ms. Bartlett is a veteran teacher who joined the staff at Pleasant Knoll Middle School after moving here from New York! We are so grateful to have her in the district. https://lnkd.in/eUw45WHj
