Flour Bluff Independent School District (FBISD) is a K-12th grade Texas public school district located in Corpus Christi, Texas. Our District is steeped in rich traditions. Highly qualified teachers, innovative programs and award-winning extracurricular programs make us an "A" rated district. FBISD was established in 1892 and encompasses a 156 square mile area. The District includes the communities of Flour Bluff, Naval Air Station, and North Padre Island. Six campuses and athletic facilities are located on a single 170 acre site which support 5,600 students in prekindergarten through 12th grade. FBISD is "Home of the World's Greatest Kids".

At Flour Bluff ISD, we believe that wellness is essential for our team's overall happiness and productivity. Today, we welcomed the Gulf Coast Humane Society to join us for our wellness event with some pet therapy for our staff! The benefits of pet therapy are profound—spending time with animals can significantly lower stress levels and tension, and even help alleviate anxiety. These special animals have a unique ability to bring joy and comfort, reminding us of the importance of connection. It’s been a great first week here at Flour Bluff ISD! Our athletes show class, pride, and heart on the field and the courts everytime, but that also extends into their support of their fellow Hornets! Our football players welcomed our younger Hornets to school this week! This great tradition is wonderful to see and it’s a great view of what’s to come this year, Go Hornets!

It was a fantastic morning to welcome our administrators back to the district for our Welcome Back Breakfast event! All campus administrators, along with various departments and our senior cabinet came together to discuss the upcoming year, district focus areas, how we can make a difference, and so much more!
