We’re excited to partner with The North Broad Renaissance to transform the parking lot at 525 N. Broad into a vibrant public space! This project is a key part of North Broad Renaissance’s ambitious 5-year plan, focused on: ✅ Enhancing Public Spaces: Welcoming plazas and safety features that improve walkability. ✅ Boosting Local Business Support: Filling storefronts and attracting businesses to revitalize the local economy. ✅ Leveraging Community Partnerships: Collaborating with institutions like Temple University to encourage graduates to stay and build locally. ✅ Building Sustainable Infrastructure: Creating reliable revenue channels and partnerships for lasting improvements. At NBR’s recent community engagement meeting, we explored ideas to shape this space into an urban oasis - envisioning a place for gatherings, markets, and events that connect and energize the neighborhood. Stay tuned as we continue collaborating with North Broad and the community to bring this vision to life! Want to get involved in shaping North Broad’s future? For years, our partnership with NTS has been driven by a shared vision: creating impactful architecture. This month we were back in Louisville to begin another construction project on their ShelbyHurst Campus, and reflect on our shared successes. We had the opportunity to chat with Tony Fluhr, Managing Director of NTS, about the unique value that our team brings to the table. “What we value most is that FIFTEEN understands how to deliver results in a way that makes sense for developers. They achieve great design while thinking about budgets, functionality, and how to meet the needs of all stakeholders.” Tony highlighted our ability to see the bigger picture, ensuring that our solutions serve the present and anticipate future needs. “They don’t just create architecture that looks good—they create spaces that are affordable and functional, while still being exciting and innovative.” As a developer, NTS faces the challenge of balancing diverse priorities —meeting the expectations of investors, creating spaces that tenants love, and ensuring long-term benefits for the community. This requires a partner who can align design with these goals while staying mindful of budgets and functionality. We’re proud of our work with NTS and the opportunity to contribute to their success. As Tony said, “It’s not easy to find a firm that can do all three: good design, affordability, and functionality. FIFTEEN delivers on all fronts.” #partnerships; #creativedesign; #louisvillearchitecture

One of the most exciting breakthroughs we’ve embraced in our search to challenge traditional design concepts is the Einstein tile—a 13-sided shape in which we observe sub forms, pentagons and kites. How does this shape impact the way we design public spaces? The answer lies in its unpredictability. Just like urban spaces themselves, the Einstein tile forms a pattern that can’t be repeated or predicted - every section is unique. Instead of imposing rigid structures, we design modular systems that evolve over time, adapting to the needs of the people who use them. Our modular designs allow for: ▶Participation: The community plays a role in shaping how these spaces are arranged and used. ▶Flexibility: Each piece of the design can change, grow, or move to reflect the needs of the community. ▶Long-term Resilience: By designing spaces that can adapt, we ensure that they can continue to serve communities even as needs evolve. The end result? A site that’s not only built FOR a community, but BY it. #design #publicspaces #community

Ever wondered what baseball and one of the world’s most iconic chair have in common? Come find out as FIFTEEN participates in the MillerKnoll “Have a Seat” competition! We were excited to be assigned the “ultimate classic” Eames Lounge and Ottoman. Originally released in 1956, it was designed to have “the warm, receptive look of a well-used first baseman's mitt.” FIFTEEN’s installation takes a THEN and NOW approach that honors both the chair and our beloved Philadelphia Phillies, with a nod to some legendary Phillies First Basemen from 1956 to present. Please visit this highly immersive and interactive exhibit at the Center for Design Philadelphia October 1-13, “Have a Seat” in the world’s most comfortable chair, and support FIFTEEN and the Phils! Instructions on how to vote for our exhibit will be found on-site! See you there! Go Phils! Premier Environments (Certified MillerKnoll Dealer); ForeverLawn, Inc. DesignPhiladelphia

Can 140 square feet change the way we think about cities? PARK(ing) Day is an annual event that invites us to re-imagine the possibilities of 140 square feet of public space in cities across the country. This initiative highlights the need for more pedestrian-friendly spaces in our urban areas and advocates for safer, greener, and more equitable streets designed for people. On September 20, FIFTEEN transformed a shady metered parking spot on Arch Street into a flexible space designed for relaxation and connection. Our team really enjoyed engaging with curious passersby, and exploring how thoughtful, adaptable spaces can foster community and interaction. PARK(ing) Day also gave us the chance to test version 2.0 of a repeating module we’re developing—moveable components designed to meet users' needs and transform public spaces in real time. This initiative aligns with our vision to bring dynamic, people-centered environments to life. We're proud to be part of the conversation shaping the future of our cities and excited to see how these small interventions can spark broader change. AIA Philadelphia, DesignPhiladelphia What ideas do you have for reimagining public spaces? #design #tacticalurbanism #cities #peoplecentered

► Can design foster a sense of identity and belonging for dancers and students? ► Can design transform how medical students learn to perform surgery? ► Can design connect organizations with their communities and expand their reach? The answer to all of these is yes! Last week, FIFTEEN was invited to present at Tyler School of Art and Architecture, Temple University as part of their Fall Lecture series. In front of a packed house, Ximena Valle, AIA and Katrina Connors, AIA shared how FIFTEEN’s focus and commitment to designing WITH and not FOR our clients can drive innovation, transformation, and lasting impact. As we highlighted projects where design sprints, community visioning sessions, and extensive collaboration with FIFTEEN’s network of SMEs resulted in groundbreaking solutions, a bold message for the next generation of architects and designers came through loud and clear: You have the power to shape the future. Embrace your role as problem-solvers, leverage the expertise around you, and design with purpose. True innovation happens when you work collaboratively, listen deeply, and let your work reflect the needs of the people and communities you serve. We’re grateful to the lecture committee for this incredible opportunity, to Matt Celeste for the thoughtful introduction, and to the students and faculty who joined us. A big thanks to all of the FIFTEEN team members who shared their thoughts during the Q&A panel: Thomas Lantz, Jennifer Yun-Fullen, AIA, NCARB, Sharrod Parker, Asia Ng #Design #Collaboration #Innovation #DesignWithPurpose #FutureOfArchitecture
