#FLETC wishes a Happy Birthday to the U.S. Navy! On October 13, 1775, the Continental Congress established a naval force, hoping that a small fleet of privateers could attack British commerce and offset British sea power. Since then, the Navy has protected and defended America’s seas and shores. Thank you for 249 years of honor, courage, and commitment!

#FollowFriday. Within the Department of the Navy, the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is the investigative entity uniquely responsible for investigating felony crime, preventing terrorism and protecting secrets for the Navy and Marine Corps. As a civilian federal #LawEnforcement agency, NCIS agents routinely work with local, state, federal, and foreign law enforcement and security agencies to address criminal incidents, identify and mitigate threats to U.S. naval forces and assets, and pursue joint proactive operations. Also, NCIS personnel often provide law enforcement and security force training. #FLETC is proud to be a training partner with 129 federal law enforcement agencies one of which is the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS)!
