Remembering Chelsie  May 7, 1993 - March 17, 2024 We are heartbroken to share that we have lost Chelsie. It feels important to tell her story. Chelsie was one of our original jewelers, joining us soon after she finished her addiction recovery program with our partners at the Nashville Rescue Mission. She was brave to tell her story, over and over, believing that our words can bring hope and healing. So, we’ll share Chelsie’s courage here, knowing that one of her main missions in life was to leave you feeling empowered.  In 2016, with a newborn baby and eager for a new chapter, Chelsie went from never making jewelry before to quickly becoming one of our most skilled makers and eventually a production manager. She often talked about how proud she was to see others wearing pieces she designed and created with her own hands. Chelsie’s jewelry skills were equally matched by her people skills - she once said – “I love talking with the other girls in the program and encouraging them, especially the new girls that have just started. When you first come in to work here, you’re so vulnerable. But I love talking to them. I love telling them my story and encouraging them. I just like to remind them that if I can do it, then they can too.” Chelsie is survived by her loving husband and her 2 sons and daughter. She adored her family and being a mom. She passed unexpectedly, doing what she loved most, joyfully bathing and spending time with her new baby. We will always remember Chelsie for her creativity, her beautiful smile, and her bravery and perseverance. She never shied away from sharing her story because she knew how healing it could be, as it had been when others shared theirs with her. In her episode of our She is ABLE podcast, Chelsie said “Your words can save somebody…and I wanna reach as many people as I can. Sharing your story is healing… it’s healing for me, and it can be healing for others. We’re meant to share those things.” If you want to hear more about the Chelsie we all knew and loved, we encourage you to listen to her episode. You will leave empowered. https://lnkd.in/ekdzkzbC
