For quite some time, we've been trying to find the best place to park information on Farmwave such as FAQ's, tutorials & videos, knowledge base, and even a requested community. We've tried several platforms, including our website, but also wanted to figure out how to get it into our processes and all in one place. Today, we launch this online platform. Things we didn't know we would have to think about at farmwave when it comes to our cameras and light levels. The angle of incidence is a fundamental concept in physics, particularly in optics and acoustics, that describes the angle at which a wave, such as light approaches a surface. It's measured between the incoming wave and a line perpendicular to the surface at the point of contact, often called the "normal." The earth is tilted 23.5° to the plane of its orbit. Depending on the time of year, some parts of the earth are in more direct sunlight than others. This year we're beginning to compile and organize more data and reporting metrics on farmwave. Such as, how many acres #Farmwave scans in a year, (millions), how many images does Farmwave take a day, (avg 23,000 per day per system), what's the most common crops Farmwave is used on, (right now soybeans and wheat ...with canola fast approaching), what's the most common machine make and model Farmwave is installed on, (>70% of our customers are John Deere with over 23 of them being installed on X9's since July 2024). It’s not easy to show what harvest loss looks like (though we are doing it), but here is a good example of a previous corn crop that wasn’t planted this year due to wet conditions. These are only the ones that germinated too so it’s much worse in reality. To say the least a lot of money left on the table and while some is inevitable, much of it isn’t.
