  • Discover how Goizueta’s MBA Keystone week creates impactful experiences for students through volunteer service, networking, and reflection. "Keystone was created in 2012 to reunite and merge our returning students from the two full-time MBA programs. Over the years, it has blossomed into a rich tradition. It now includes a community service day and the writing of a five-year goals letter. We also welcome our first-year MBA students with another Goizueta tradition, the annual clap-in and Coca-Cola toast.” - Brian Mitchell, associate dean of full-time MBA programs and Goizueta Global Strategy & Initiatives https://brnw.ch/21wNocF

  • A huge, Jumbotron-sized congratulations to one of our previous conference keynotes Tiffany Willis, CPA! A good reminder for all of us to smell the roses 🌹.

I was told that this was a BIG DEAL and chastised that I'm moving so fast that I'm not taking time to smell the roses, as having your name and pic on the Nasdaq New York Jumbotron Tower are some big roses. Guess what…they were right, so I’m taking a moment to smell my roses and share them with you. More importantly, I now remind you to take time to SMELL YOUR ROSES, as NO MATTER THE SIZE … THEY ALL SMELL GOOD!

It has been a long time since I was involved in a panel prep session where participants willingly spent an extra hour in conversation because the collective wisdom was so compelling. One of my favorite concepts was about comparison and how struggle is not objectively measurable. Like Brené Brown said, comparison is "the crush of conformity from one side and competition from the other—it’s trying to simultaneously fit in and stand out". Thank you for your time and energy Ashley Mitchell Robyn Brookshire Kimberly Latrice Jones Shelly Stover, AMFT Carly Snyder, MD Mary Carlson, Ph.D., CFP®, AFC®Chemyeeka Tumblin, MSPH, LMFT, PMH-C, CD Katie Greer Amanda Rigell! Please join us at Mom Talks ATL, details below: Date: Friday, November 8, 2024 Time: 8 am to 5 pm Location: Miller-Ward Alumni House, Emory University  Tickets: Limited to just 200 spaces! Promo pricing: $149 (use code: SCHOOLSUPPLIES) Fine print: Ticket includes expert programming, unlimited coffee and tea, lunch from a local business, and onsite parking. A few FAQs:  1. There is wifi and a lot of space to take calls/Zooms so if you need to work remotely during part of the day, that is an option. 2. The event is for anyone that wants to be more connected to the motherhood concept. While some of the programming might gear more toward a particular phase of life, there will be opportunity for break-out learning for every niche. We have found that motherhood is a source of real deviation from expectation for everyone (e.g. finding yourself in unanticipated situations like you are a mother or child receiving a diagnosis of illness, not having the relationship you want with your mother, not being the mother you envisioned, grief related to your mother, etc.). There is a lot to learn from the realization that our experience is so unique, and also so shared.  3.  The event is not-for-profit. There is a back-to-school promo rate until Labor Day with code: SCHOOLSUPPLIES
