We’re excited to have Prof. Martin Jacob from IESE Business School, Spain, who will present his paper, titled “Cross-border spillover effects of corporate taxes.” Prof. Jacob’s research examines the economic impact of taxation on business decisions, focusing on corporate and income taxes, emission taxes, and their effects on investments, sustainability, and the environment. He has published in top international journals, including the Journal of Financial Economics, the Journal of Accounting Research, the Review of Financial Studies, the Accounting Review, the Journal of Accounting and Economics, Management Science, the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, and Contemporary Accounting Research. Since 2023, he has served as an editor for The Accounting Review and was an associate editor for the European Accounting Review and Accounting & Business Research from 2016 to 2022. The EAA is inviting new candidates to join the Virtual Activities Committee (VAC) as our esteemed colleagues Yasemin Zengin-Karaibrahimoglu, Irma Malafronte, PhD, and Marco Trombetta conclude their term after the EAA Annual Congress 2025 in Rome. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Yasemin, Irma, and Marco for their invaluable contributions! 🙏 The VAC plays a pivotal role in: 🔹 Planning, scheduling, and coordinating EAA virtual research events throughout the year. 🔹 Collaborating with other EAA committees on education events, doctoral workshops, and regulatory/practitioner events. 🔹 Developing a long-term strategy for EAA virtual activities.
