ETIC is growing! We are pleased to announce the addition of Principal Geologist, Mr. Chris Baldassari, PG, to our Environmental Remediation Team. Mr. Baldassari has over 20 years of experience in the areas of remedial investigations/ feasibility studies, in-situ remediation, and urban redevelopment. He specializes in complex real property transactional and pre-acquisition environmental due diligence matters, as well as National Oil and Hazardous Substances Pollution Contingency Plan (NCP)-compliant feasibility and risk assessment evaluations related to subsurface and indoor air problems. Mr. Baldassari’s addition strengthens ETIC’s capabilities in the areas of creative reuse planning, risk assessment, and remediation of contaminated properties.

ETIC is pleased to announce the addition of Principal Hydrogeologist Nicholas (Nick) Pogoncheff, PG, CEM to our team. Nick is a California Professional Geologist, Nevada Certified Environmental Manager, and hydrogeologist with over 30 years of professional experience. He is an expert in the development and implementation of programs that require: the understanding of contaminant fate and transport mechanisms in soil, groundwater, soil vapor, and air pathways; the negotiation of regulatory directives to address compliance matters and a variety of site closure procedures; site cleanup/remediation systems; and hydrogeologic and water resource studies for the development of groundwater and surface water supplies. Nick has considerable experience in providing technical assistance to clients and groups of potentially responsible parties for the negotiation of site-specific administrative orders with U.S. EPA Region IX, the California Regional Water Quality Control Boards, California Department of Toxic Substances Control, and the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection. He will support the design, implementation, and management of multi-disciplinary environmental programs with an emphasis on emerging contaminants including per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances and strengthen the value we bring to our clients. ETIC’s Construction and Field Services Division recently completed 12 storm damage repair projects under on-call and emergency force account agreements funded through Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). Projects included construction of soldier pile retaining walls, roadside structural repairs, installation of drainage features, and creek bank stabilization and restoration.
