Today, we remember and celebrate George Eastman on his 170th birthday! Eastman made a meaningful lasting impact on the Greater Rochester community through his involvement with several organizations. While we are of course grateful to him for founding ESL, we also acknowledge the important role he played in helping shape Kodak, United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes, Eastman Institute for Oral Health, Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, George Eastman Museum, and Eastman Theatre, as well as his contributions to University of Rochester and Rochester Institute of Technology. #RochesterNY
