Yesterday, the first "Share Best Practice" session took place on RI-VIS Slack. It was a 60-minute discussion and interactive session where we explored the structure of the #toolkit, one of the most frequently used tools on the #ERICForum website, from a communication perspective. What is "Share Best Practice"? Opportunities for networking and idea-sharing are limited, but they're widely recognized as highly valuable. These video calls provide an additional platform for connecting and exchanging feedback on important topics for ERICs and future ERICs. How does it work? 📍 Sessions take place on the first Tuesday of each month until February 2025 📍 60-minute sessions from 11 AM to 12 PM (Rome time) 📍 Interactive content and format Interested in participating? We're hosting the ERIC Forum #GenderEquality Workshop in Amsterdam this week. We’re delving into key themes around gender equality and diversity, reflecting on GEP practices and organisational cultures within our ERICs. From sharing success stories (and challenges) to discussing strategies for engaging more people and overcoming resistance, we’re gaining valuable tools and insights. Big thanks to our facilitator, Eva Eli Taxacher, for leading such engaging and thought-provoking sessions. Excited to continue this important work as we drive gender equality forward!

ERIC Forum is upskilling all ERICs employees with valuable knowledge in #GenderEquality. ⚖️ The Workshop hosted by EATRIS in Amsterdam this week focused on key themes of gender equality, equity, diversity, and inclusion, and participants reflected on the implementation and innovation of the Gender Equality Plan within our #ERICs. A big thank you to our trainer Eva Eli Taxacher, for creating an engaging environment and to all of the Gender Equality officers from ERICs for sharing your valuable insights!

The ERIC Forum 2 Work Package 7 Team is conducting a series of workshops outlining different modalities of engagement with third countries. Instruct-ERIC hosted the first. It detailed the advantages and limitations of the Memoranda of Understanding, a case study from Instruct, and described the various templates and tools available for RIs to set up such agreements. This workshop is the first of four, each addressing different engagement mechanisms with third countries. The next one will be on associate membership and will take place in October, hosted by Joint Institute for VLBI ERIC Stay tuned!

ECRIN Project Manager, Maria Alexandra Rujano, had the privilege of attending the European Research Area Conference: Fostering Greater Integration. Advancing Competitiveness in Brussels last week as part of the ERIC Forum and the ERIC Forum 2 project. As a key player in the European research infrastructure landscape, the ERIC Forum participated with a stand in the conference exhibition, providing a platform for networking and showcasing ERIC's commitment to driving innovation, collaboration, and impactful research across Europe. This participation was crucial to advancing the ERIC Forum 2 project's mission of consolidating the integration of ERICs into the European Research Area. #ERICForum #ERICs #ResearchInfrastructures #EUResearchArea
