Bharat Financial Inclusion Limited (100% subsidiary of IndusInd Bank Ltd.) and Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop and implement a #ClimateResilient dairy program in India.
This partnership is critical for research on enhancing dairy productivity, cutting methane emission, improving cattle nutrition and health, and effectively managing manure production. While EDF brings to the table its expertise in scientific and technical research, BFIL will leverage its on-ground experience and resources to drive the program's implementation.
The partnership will also focus on developing climate-smart dairy management practices that benefit farmers, consumers, and the environment.

The MoU was formalized at BFIL’s Hyderabad head office. Also present were Kishore Sambasivam, Chief People Officer and CSR Head, BFIL, Hisham Mundol, Chief Advisor at Environmental Defense Fund in India, Britt Groosman, Vice President of Climate-Smart Agriculture at Environmental Defense Fund, and Dr. Abhinav Gaurav, Advisor Livestock, Environmental Defense Fund.
