It transcends generations and becomes part of who we are. 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗞𝗶𝗱𝘀 is one such example! Today, we kicked off our 𝟰𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘀. And this is just the beginning! We have the next 5 weeks to fundraise to help kids in need at more than a dozen children’s hospitals across our 14-state footprint.

Mercy Senchur, you inspire us!     Last night, we celebrated Mercy and her fellow Pittsburgh Business Times Class of 2024 C-Suite Award winners at a special event honoring leaders who go above and beyond to make a difference in their companies and across the region.    Mercy started with our company in 1986 as a midnight server and stayed because, even back then, she felt empowered to contribute meaningfully – her efforts made a difference! We are all smiles as we unveil our brand-new Eat’n Park Restaurant in Collier Township, PA!     This new building honors our 75-year history as we keep innovating for our future...a future that we hope to share with you and our guests in all of the communities we are proud to serve. 

This week, we celebrated Chef Appreciation Week and our incredible culinary teams across brands and 14 states who bring meaning every day to our shared “we are passionate about food” core value. They transform ingredients into experiences, meals into opportunities to connect, and recipes into special moments. Our compliments to the chefs! #ChefAppreciationWeek

Every year, our team members fundraise for a cause they care deeply about: ensuring kids get the medical care they need regardless of their families’ finances. This tradition dates back to 1979 and through the decades, generations of team members have raised over $12 million for children’s hospitals and charities across our 14-state operating region!    These same team members recently helped us to proudly present a corporate donation to support a new, state-of-the-art Heart Institute at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, which is where our fundraising first got its start 45 years ago.    We are honored to extend the legacy of our team members and their heart for this cause, grateful for the life-changing work of UPMC Children's Hospital Foundation in our communities, and so excited to kick-off our 2024 Caring for Kids fundraising campaign next week!

Thank you to our nearly 10,000 team members across our organization for the 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 you pour in to creating a smile every day!

Just call us party animals! On top of celebrating our company’s 75th anniversary this summer, we also had the privilege of celebrating three team members and their own milestone anniversary – 50 years at Eat’n Park Hospitality Group!    We are honored to be part of each of our team members’ journeys no matter the length of time that they’re with us – and wow, a combined 150 years is a real gift! Thank you for making us stronger, Debra, Jim, and Marylou! 

Our Day of Smiles day of volunteering is awesome every year, but this year was extra special! As we celebrate our 75 years in business, we reflect on the community that supported us along the way and the relationships that make us stronger together.     In celebration of two of these longstanding partnerships and their incredible work in service of our neighbors, our team member volunteers were honored to present $75,000 gifts to Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania.    We are extremely grateful to have both of these organizations in our hometown of Pittsburgh where so many of our team members and guests live and work. For decades, we’ve been proud to support their exceptional work of taking care of our most vulnerable neighbors. 

When we say “volunteer opportunity,” our team members show up! Over 100 of them served at our annual Day of Smiles volunteer day in Pittsburgh – a true embodiment of our nearly 10,000 team members and their spirit of hospitality in action every day.     On Day of Smiles, we were honored to roll up our sleeves for a few hours and support the good work being done at the Education Partnership, Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, Rainbow Kitchen Community Svc, Women's Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh, Shepherd Wellness Community, United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania, and Literacy Pittsburgh.    Every day, we feel proud to live and work in the communities where impactful work is being done by these incredible partners.
