Today on #GenZintheField series, we're shining the spotlight on Kaitlyn Krieger, a Mining Engineering student at the Colorado School of Mines. Kaitlyn just wrapped up an incredible internship at Martin Marietta’s Riverbend Sand and Gravel site. She got hands-on experience operating heavy equipment, earned her Part 107 drone license, and explored various aspects of the mining operation, from extraction to paving. Kaitlyn's internship has solidified her passion for mining engineering and provided her with invaluable lessons, confidence, and lasting connections.
