Welcome to Energy IYKYK, an industry-focused podcast aimed to inspire, inform, and engage Gen Z in all things Oil & Gas related. Hosted by Saloma Kheirallah and Prince Ekeoma, EnergyIYKYK is poised to take the industry by storm by appealing to the next power generation and tomorrow's energy leaders. Through candid conversations and hard-hitting interviews, we plan to explore the personal journeys and uncover the challenges and obstacles faced by those younger professionals who only recently entered the oil & gas world (in the last 5 years).     Today on #GenZintheField series, we're shining the spotlight on Kaitlyn Krieger, a Mining Engineering student at the Colorado School of Mines. Kaitlyn just wrapped up an incredible internship at Martin Marietta’s Riverbend Sand and Gravel site. She got hands-on experience operating heavy equipment, earned her Part 107 drone license, and explored various aspects of the mining operation, from extraction to paving. Kaitlyn's internship has solidified her passion for mining engineering and provided her with invaluable lessons, confidence, and lasting connections. Let's hear it for Kaitlyn and her amazing summer! 👏👏

    Kicking off our #GenZintheField series we have Nia Harris This summer, Nia Harris, an Industrial & Systems Engineering student at the University of Oklahoma, got her feet wet in the oil and gas industry through an internship with bp energy in Houston. As a member of the Haynesville Operations team, Nia contributed to two projects aimed at boosting efficiency, reliability, and safety. Nia developed and implemented automated tools to streamline operations. This experience not only expanded her technical skills but also gave her a solid foundation in data-driven decision making. She’s excited to continue learning how data can optimize business processes. Go Nia Harris - We are rooting for you 👏👏
