🏳️🌈 On National Coming Out Day, we celebrate the courage it takes to live authentically. Today is not just about celebrating those who come out, but honoring the strength, resilience, and courage of the entire LGBTQ+ community. In his role as Executive Director at Encircle, Alexandre Cutini feels privileged to support LGBTQ+ youth and families, creating the safe spaces he wishes he had when he was younger. 💌 To inspire hope, he’s sharing the letter he wrote to his family ten years ago when he came out, showing just how far we’ve come—and how much work still lies ahead. “This role has taught me that when we show up for each other with compassion, we can build a world where everyone feels valued and loved for who they truly are.” Please consider a donation to help us make a difference in the lives of LGBTQ+ youth, young adults and families. Your contribution will provide mental health programs, therapy, and safe spaces for LGBTQ+ youth to thrive. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍🩷🩵🤎🖤 💌 Read Alex’s coming out letter here. https://lnkd.in/gt5zq2w3 👉 Donate today to help us support LGBTQ+ youth https://bit.ly/3U74UgC Thank you for being part of the Encircle family. #NationalComingOutDay #SupportLGBTQYouth #EncircleOurYouth

Today on ABC4 Utah - Utah's CW30 (KTVX/KUCW) Good Things Utah, our Executive Director Alexandre Cutini shared his thoughts on #NationalComingOutDay, what Encircle means to him, and the importance of supporting LGBTQ+ youth, young adults, and families. He loved chatting with Surae Chinn and Deena Marie Manzanares about the power of creating safe, affirming spaces and how we can all play a role in fostering love, acceptance, and understanding. 🌈💚 #YouAreLoved #NoSidesOnlyLove #EncircleOurYouth #WorldMentalHealthDay Check out the full story using the link below! https://lnkd.in/geHKJPsq

💌 Today is officially Love Note Day, and it’s the perfect time to spread some love and hope! 💖 For years, our incredible donors, community partners, volunteers, parents, staff, and caregivers have written heartfelt, anonymous Love Notes to let LGBTQ+ youth know they are seen, valued, and—most importantly—loved. 🌈 Research from The Trevor Project shows that LGBTQ+ young people who have supportive adults in their lives are significantly less likely to attempt suicide. Your words can truly save lives. You can make an impact today by giving a one-time or recurring donation to fund life-affirming mental health services at our Encircle homes. When you donate, we encourage you to include a short "Love Note" to our youth, reminding them they matter. 💬💕 Donate using the link here http://qrco.de/lnd24 Need a little inspiration? Check out some of the beautiful Love Notes from our amazing community! Your words could be the light that someone needs today. 💫 #LoveNoteDay #SupportLGBTQYouth #YouAreLoved #NoSidesOnlyLove

Thank you Palak Jayswal and The Salt Lake Tribune for the amazing story about our new Executive Director, Alexandre Cutini ! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 Read the full story using the link below!🔗
For Alexandre Cutini — the new executive director of the Utah-based LGBTQ+ youth and young adult resource center Encircle — shame is one part of the LGBTQ experience that he wants to eliminate. “When you really think about what the experience of being LGBT is like, in the beginning for me there was a lot of shame around it,” Cutini said. “When you think about shame, and what that means, it’s a social construct. It’s how you see yourself through the eyes of somebody else.” Shame, Cutini said, is a “social wound that requires a social balm.” That balm, he said, is empathy, or the act of “feeling with you.” “This is what Encircle does. It’s this sense of community, of ‘I know what your story is like, and I can walk with you because I know what that pain is like, and how difficult it is,’” Cutini said. As Cutini starts in his new job, he said he’s most excited to learn the stories of the youth that visit Encircle, and to get to know them and their families. “When I think of leadership, and especially in this position, I think of leadership as an opportunity to serve, to lift up everybody that’s around me,” he said. #lgbtq #youth #support #resources By Palak Jayswal
