The problem isn't your job postings. The problem isn't your career site. The problem isn't your recruiter outreach. The problem isn't your social media. The problem isn't your review responses. I mean, sure, they aren't great. But too many companies are trying to fix those issues without seeing the underlying problem, complaining about a "broken" computer when there's a power outage. What's the underlying issue? You don't know how you're different. 🤠 How can you make those job posts better when you don't know how YOUR job is different from a million other companies hiring for the same role? 🤠 How can you make your career site compelling, if it/s just dressing up the same five values shared by a million other companies? 🤠 How can you make your outreach useful, if it's forced to parrot the same platitudes thousands of other companies say? Without understanding how you re different, if you don't offer a unique point of view or offering, you will have to work TWICE AS HARD as a million other companies just to get noticed. Of you can just define your differentiated value properly. (I bet you thought I was going to say "employer brand, didn't you? Guess what? I did!) I promise, leaning into your differentiated value is cheaper, easier, and leads to far less burnout than what you're doing now. Just ask me how. #Recruiting #Recruiters #TalentAcquisition #Hiring #JobPostings

🚨 COOs & CFOs: You Can’t Afford to Overlook Employer Branding 🚨 Too often, employer branding is seen as just a function of Talent Acquisition or Marketing—something designed to attract more job applications. But 👏 it 👏 does 👏 so 👏 much 👏 more. Employer branding is a strategic tool for leadership that drives agility, levels up talent, and saves money. Here’s why you should care: 1️⃣ Attract Game-Changing Talent: Top talent doesn’t browse job boards—they have options. A strong employer brand shows them why your company is the right fit, helping you attract those who will thrive in your culture and make a real impact. Without it? They’ll go elsewhere. 2️⃣ Build Skills for the Future: The best people are always evolving. They’re not just looking for a job—they’re looking to innovate and grow with your company. A strong brand attracts these forward-thinkers, ensuring you’re always ahead with cutting-edge skills. 3️⃣ Predictability: When hiring is unpredictable, it disrupts your entire operation. A strong employer brand creates a steady pipeline of quality talent, reducing time-to-hire and giving you control over critical hiring processes. 4️⃣ Lower Costs: Weak branding means you’re paying more—through higher recruitment costs and lower offer acceptance rates. Strong branding builds emotional connections with candidates, improving offer acceptance and slashing hiring costs. If you’re not taking employer branding seriously, you’re missing out on strategic advantages that directly impact your bottom line. Let’s stop seeing it as just another marketing tool and start leveraging it for true growth. #EmployerBranding #Leadership #CFO #COO #TalentStrategy #BusinessGrowth

Budget season for #TalentAcquisition is here. So what's your plan on doing "more with less" in 2025? What if there was a way to make every recruiter and every recruiting tool more effective and useful? A way to build talent pipelines without buying a new CRM? A way to make each ad more effective (so you don't have to spend as much)? A way to connect the dots between your social content and your hiring managers to build a killer (free!) advocacy strategy? A way to increase talent quality while lowering time to fill? And what if that solution cost about as much as a single LI recruiter seat? It isn't magic. It isn't pixie dust. Its employer brand-driven strategy to attract more of the people you really want to hire. And if you're a company of 200-2,000 employees, it os well within your grasp. Ping me and we can talk about how you're going to crush 2025 hiring (and look like a rock star to leadership) without breaking the bank. #Recruiting #Hiring #Recruitment

What if... and I mean this sincerely... we DIDN'T compete for talent? It's not as crazy as it sounds. In fact, it's kinda the core of all smart business strategy: focus on the thing only YOU can offer and you'll have a monopoly. No one will be able to compete with you. Just listen to strategy author and practitioner Alex M H Smith talk about how one company pursued that ideas to great success. #TalentStrategy #Recruiting #EmployerBranding #TalentAttraction

Your recruiting isn't strategic. Not even a little. And I can prove it. Strategy. It’s how you use what you have to win. And when everyone has the same stuff, you can’t be strategic. You just have to out-work or out-spend to win. In 99.999% of companies, recruiting will talk a good game about being strategic or its talent strategy. But then… Their job posts look exactly the same as everyone else’s. Their career sites all say the same things. They never change the default messaging on their ATS. Social posts start with the Canva template. They build the same candidate experience as everyone else. They post the same sunshine garbage on Instagram and Tik Tok. They all have the same “Why work at [company]?” video. When stuck, they ask, “What does Google/Facebook/OpenAI do?” When in doubt, they post “we’re great” in one of the usual ways. And of course, the “we’re hiring” post. This isn’t strategic. Not even a little. At best, this is recruit-by-numbers. And there’s nothing strategic about it. And until you get serious about leveraging your difference, you can’t be strategic. Your only option is to out-work and out-spend other companies for talent. Luckily, knowing how you are different and embedding into everything you do DOESN’T HAVE TO COST YOU A CENT. So what’s your plan?
