The Croatian fact-checking outlet Faktograf - Association for the Informed Public and IPI have teamed up to release “I never put my name on the doorbell,” a comprehensive guide that offers strategies to mitigate the risks associated with online harassment. This report, developed under the ‘Decoding the Disinformation Playbook’ project, provides essential recommendations on structured monitoring, proactive risk management, mental health support, and more. ❗ New Case Study taz and IPI have just released an in-depth case study on the disinformation and harassment campaigns targeting Romanian journalist Adina Marincea. As part of the "Decoding the Disinformation Playbook" project, this report sheds light on the malicious tactics used to discredit Marincea's courageous investigative work on far-right extremism. From character assassination and misogyny to antisemitic narratives and online harassment, the case study exposes the dangerous environment faced by journalists like Marincea. Her resilience is a powerful reminder of the critical role independent journalism plays in upholding democratic values. 👥 We would like to thank everyone that attended our Summer Conference - Impact and Future Outlook on 15 and 16 July.
