“People don’t realize what they’ve lost until it’s gone, all the way down to something simple, such as a shower.” - Family served We often take clean drinking water and a nice shower for granted. For some of our dear friends in Swannanoa, NC, it’s been over a week since Hurricane Helene contaminated their water supply. Because of your support, those in Swannanoa and the surrounding community are able to have clean water while they wait for repairs to be made. It’s been beyond humbling to see the impact of a hot shower for so many who are also working to recover from the storm. Our #MassFeeding team is on the ground in Sarasota, FL, to provide free warm meals to those in need following #HurricaneMilton. Within several hours, our unit is able to produce thousands of meals for distribution after a natural disaster. Our desire is to bring #Hope and help to as many as possible as they begin the road to recovery. We are located at Bayside Community Church (8200 Bee Ridge Rd., Sarasota, FL, 34241) and will be providing lunches and dinners to the community over the next few days. The past two weeks of response have been nothing short of God's provision and nearness. From Perry to Valdosta to Canton, thousands of families are getting the help and #Hope they need each day! Canton, NC - here we come! Our Mass Feeding unit, along with our shower and laundry trailers will be in #Canton, NC, starting Thursday, October 3. We are so thankful to be able to love and serve this community. Help us spread the word: We will serve our first meal at noon in Canton at International Sports Complex (289 Silkwood Dr., Canton, NC 28716). Our shower trailer will also be at this location. Our laundry trailer will be set up at 235 Armory Dr, Clyde, NC 28721. We will start providing laundry services Thursday, October 3. We plan to stay in the area until the need subsides. #HurricaneFrancine made landfall yesterday evening in Terrebonne Parish, LA, as a Category 2 storm. As a result, an estimated 10 million in the south are still under flood alerts and over 400,000 homes and businesses continue to be without power today. Our Mass Feeding Ministry is already in the devastated area and will begin serving meals tonight. We are set up at Hope Community Church (437 Grand Caillou Rd, Houma, LA 70363). Today is the day the LORD has made - we are thankful for the 1,532 volunteers (a record-breaking number), 233 families served, and most excitingly 2 new members in the body of Christ! Heaven rejoices! This is the greatest motivation to us to keep running the race before us with endurance - making Him known. Also, through our "Love & Serve Lawn-Care" landscaping team, volunteers have been able to meet and pray with families and share the #Hope of Jesus...#EDOHBuffalo2024! What will God do next? #EDOH
