In addition to providing "a low cost, eco-friendly mowing service to energy companies" thanks to his grazing sheep, Chad Raines' solar site in Lamesa, Texas provides an estimated 586 gigawatts annually to the state's solar industry. As Chad says, “We still farm and do everything we used to, except underneath solar panels. [And] it’s not burning up under there.
