As featured in the Austin American-Statesman, the Downtown Austin Alliance (DAA) is launching a new initiative to revitalize Austin by connecting local artists and entrepreneurs with vacant storefronts. The Downtown Austin Space Activation (DASA) program aims to provide affordable space and resources to creatives who have been priced out of the city due to the tech boom. DASA will offer short-term activations, artist residencies and micro-grants to help artists bring their visions to life. The first activation will take place this month at 506 Congress Ave. in partnership with DivInc a nonprofit that supports entrepreneurs of color and women in tech. ECPR Texas x Connectors is a Spotify playlist where Texas business leaders, dignitaries, community advocates and our staff amplify their stories through curated playlists. At ECPR Texas, our mission is to connect the work of our clients with the community and leaders in those communities to showcase the difference they are making in Texas together. Connect with Emily Williams Knight, CEO and President of the Texas Restaurant Association. "My taste in music is as eclectic as the events that make up the story of my life. As a military child, I was curious and open to new experiences.I learned to quickly adapt to new surroundings, and I often tie significant life events to songs I heard during that time. Each of the following songs are special to me and ones that I hope if you haven’t already heard, you enjoy it as much as I do."
