About us
For more than 100 years we have worked tirelessly with our partners to enhance quality of life and expand local access to healthcare, education and employment opportunities. Easterseals Southern California provides essential services and on-the-ground supports to more than 18,000 people each year—from early childhood programs for the critical first five years, to autism services, daily and independent living services for adults, employment programs, veterans’ services and more. Our public education, policy and advocacy initiatives positively shape perceptions and address the urgent and evolving needs of the one in four Americans with disabilities today. Together, we’re empowering people with disabilities, families and communities to be full and equal participants in society.

🎉 This past Monday, Sept. 30, the new Adult Day Services location in Glendora officially opened its doors in the historic Golden Spur building, a cherished landmark that has been part of the community for 100 years! Participants and life skills coaches were thrilled with the new space, expressing how beautiful and spacious it was. Many shared their excitement, saying they loved the fresh look and felt so happy in their new environment. The outdoor areas included a lush grassy space with comfortable chairs and a large umbrella for shade, creating a perfect spot for relaxation. In the front of the building, there was a welcoming setup of tables and chairs, allowing participants to enjoy the fresh air, whether in the shade or soaking up the sunshine. Kathleen Kolenda, VP of ADS, and Mandy Speakman, Director of Regional ADS, were on hand to help ensure a smooth opening for everyone. Throughout the day, participants engaged in fun activities, puzzles, and competitions while also exploring their new surroundings. The smiles and laughter were contagious! 😊✨
