It is with great sadness that we inform you that our founder, Doris Wilkins, passed away peacefully on July 5th at the age of 103. In 1959, Doris and her husband, Robert Wilkins, founded Delaware Valley Wholesale Florist in a small corner shop in Pitman, NJ. They supported each other through the years and together built the foundation for what DV is today. Even through retirement, Doris was always interested in the business and would frequently express how proud she was of the whole team for continuing to grow the business, supporting our customers and carrying forward the legacy and culture her and Bob started. Wednesday was a special day for us at our Sewell, NJ headquarters! It was the first time we were able to host our entire distribution management team for onsite training. They all participated in an in-depth seminar focused on vehicle and driver safety, as well as a comprehensive overview of each component to the trucks. It’s always great to have everyone together, which we believe provides for a much better learning experience and helps bring our teams closer.

Alexandra Farms is proud to announce a special addition to their prized Princess Garden Roses Collection with a classically stunning new variety: Princess Holly’s Hope®. This special garden rose has been years in the making at Alexandra Farms and is named after our friend and close collaborator – the renowned floral designer and educator Holly Chapple A wonderfully imposing peach-colored bloom, Princess Holly’s Hope was selected by Holly as her signature garden rose during a visit to our farm in early 2020. Transitioning from a soft peachy-toned center to creamy outer petals, this sizable ruffle-cup bloom is classified as “very full” in terms of petal count, as it has over 80 petals. Princess Holly’s Hope opens fully and holds astoundingly well with a strength and resilience that reminds us of our friend. Princess Holly’s Hope is available now, with limited availability. Production is expected to increase throughout 2024. Read more about this variety and Holly’s journey at link below!! https://shorturl.at/frJW6 QUICK FACTS Color: Peach Secondary Colors: Cream and pink Bloom Shape: Ruffled spiral Bloom Head Size: Large Bloom Opening: 90% Days to Open: 3 Petals: 85 Vase Life: 8 Days Country of Origin: Japan

🌷 Congratulations to David Beahm, founder of David Beahm Experiences, on fulfilling his life-long dream of having a new tulip variety named after him! 🌟 David realizes this would not have been possible without the expertise of Piet Van Kampen, the visionary tulip specialist, breeder, and educator Frank Timmerman and the meticulous care and generosity of tulip grower J. Schouten Tulips in Andjik, Netherlands. 🇳🇱 Truly a testament to passion, collaboration, and the beauty of nature! Read more about this remarkable journey in our latest blog post. #TulipDreams #HorticultureHeroes 🌷✨

Just a few #DVFlora rose boxes ready to ship from the farm! These will soon be arriving and delivered to retail florists for #ValentinesDay arrangements. ❤️ There’s so much preparation from the farms, our buyers and sales associates, as well as customers just to get to this point. It all started months ago and will continue for the next 14 days, right until the last order is delivered. ❤️ The next steps from here are to begin shipping, receiving and processing the orders at our warehouse, which the bulk will start over the weekend. ❤️ Our Flower Transfer Logistics team is monitoring freight/truck space allocations, weather, and traffic to make sure we can get all of the product here on time. With cut flowers and plants shipping from South America, Miami/Florida, Canada, California, New York, Mexico, and many different local points, it takes a true team effort to get this done! In total, we anticipate receiving around 100 tractor trailer loads of fresh product over the next 10 days!!! ❤️ Our Operations team has also been preparing for months to make sure we have the appropriate warehouse space needed and employees are trained in all areas, from receiving to picking and packing to loading outbound trucks. It’s an amazing orchestration to witness! ❤️ The final piece of the process encapsulates the Distribution team, who are responsible for outbound trailers to our 11 distribution centers (plus Sewell HQ) and local fleet drivers. Early mornings, long days and lots of moving boxes and proconas around! ❤️ Of course we can’t forget about our hardgoods suppliers, buyers and operational staff! They have done an amazing job securing needs months in advance for this holiday and are already working on Valentine’s Day 2025 😬 ❤️ We appreciate EVERYONE involved in this process! They hold a significant amount of responsibility, each different than the other, yet all connected to make it happen. #calmbeforethestorm #roses #galentinesday
