Happy National Coming Out Day! This week, we proudly celebrated DLH’s second annual event, hosted by PRISM — our LGBTQ+ focused business employee resource group. Employees came together to hear inspiring coming out experiences, which opened up meaningful conversations about acceptance and support for loved ones. In the face of #HurricaneMilton, DLC is stepping up to support power restoration efforts. We’ve deployed 65 crew members, including lineworkers, mechanics and safety representatives, to Florida's Gulf Coast, joining forces with Duke Energy Corporation to restore power to affected communities. An additional 17 underground crew members left this morning. Our teams have been on the ground since Sept. 27, previously supporting electric utilities in Virginia after #HurricaneHelene. We continue to commend our crews for their tireless efforts during these challenging times. Together, we can help rebuild and restore. Our hearts and thoughts are with everyone who has been impacted by these disasters.  #DLC #PowerRestoration #CommunitySupport

DLC recently celebrated a significant milestone with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new wetland project at the former Cheswick Generating Station site in Springdale Township. This initiative will help treat groundwater and safely channel it into Tawney Run, marking a step toward environmental restoration in our community. DLC is committed to supporting Springdale Township’s vision for revitalization. We are in discussions to lease the site to the township and donate adjacent legacy properties, furthering our collective goal of transforming this area. We look forward to the positive impact this project will have on Springdale Township!  Learn more:  https://lnkd.in/euXCk-BT

DLC crews are tirelessly working to help restore power to Appalachian Power customers in western Virginia following the impacts of Hurricane Helene. Currently, around 12,500 customers remain without power, but our dedicated teams are making significant strides in the challenging mountainous and rural terrain.   These crews are committed to replacing broken poles, restringing conductors and replacing transformers, all in an effort to safely reenergize the power lines as quickly as possible.   We extend our heartfelt gratitude to these hardworking individuals for their unwavering dedication in helping the region recover from this tragic storm.
