The wars have always been devastating. Human loss is inevitable. The damage to critical infrastructure is always immense. However, wars have played a key role in the advancement of weapons and tactics. While tanks and planes were novel ideas during the WWI, WWII witnessed them as focal points of war strategy. The recent Russia-Ukraine war has highlighted the power of drones for heading on a military unit with powerful conventional weapons like artillary guns and tanks. You may ask what about economy? Well, the answer is as simple as possible. A mere $400 FPV (First Person View) enables you to destroy $2 million sophisticated tank. While tank building tasks you with sourcing n number of assembly parts from m number of suppliers, drone building is a simpler game. The use of drones in a war is just a beginning. May be we see AI-operated drones attacking battlefield positions guarded by trained humans. Scary future, indeed!
