Yesterday, the CDAO concluded its RAI in Defense Forum at the Hyatt Regency in Reston, VA. The 3-day event, held October 28-30, brought together defense leaders, AI experts, policymakers, and global innovators to focus on Responsible AI (RAI) advancements aligned with U.S. values and international partnerships. Anchored by CDAO Radha Plumb’s inspiring kickoff and a rousing recorded address by Deputy Secretary of Defense Kathleen Hicks, the invitation-only conference featured workshops, plenary sessions, and numerous networking opportunities for engagement and collaboration. Today, the CDAO hosted the #Advana Industry Day at the Hyatt Regency in Reston, VA. The 1-day event featured collaborative opportunities for industry to participate in the continued execution and development of Advana―the United States Department of Defense common platform designed for mission owners, analysts, and data scientists to simplify its business systems. Presentations included an informative keynote from CDAO Dr. Radha Plumb; rousing talks on the Advana mission space and its role in the Open DAGIR approach to scaling data, analytics, and AI capabilities; and insight on opportunities for traditional and nontraditional contractors to participate in ongoing Advana development activities.
