In DMGroup's work with school districts and state-level organizations from across the country, we see many common pitfalls in strategic planning: - Strategic plans that have well-articulated vision and mission statements but lack clarity on how they will be achieved  - Plans that are overloaded with objectives and lack prioritization - Plans that do not include measurable goals to define success At DMGroup, we advise districts to focus on three to five of their most pressing priorities and have accompanying measurable goals, initiatives, and action steps. This helps create focus and ensures that all levels of the organization work in concert to achieve the district’s stated priorities and deliver real results. In this workshop, we will discuss essential do's and don'ts in strategic planning and how to create an actionable plan that drives student achievement.
