About us

Started in 1964, Developmental Pathways is a nonprofit agency serving more than 15,000 individuals with disabilities and their families. We support individuals across their lifespans and have experience supporting individuals with co-occurring needs from birth to aging. We’re also one of Colorado’s Community Centered Boards (CCB), which connect people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and delays to local funding supports. We passionately believe inclusion is for everyone and offer services through Home and Community Based Medicaid Waiver programs, locally funded programs, and partnerships with other community organizations.

Did you know: in 1966, DP’s first vocational program was founded in Englewood and Aurora! This program provided jobs and training to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by giving each participant a real work environment, commensurate wages, and comprehensive vocational services. Today, we continue to support individuals with disabilities by connecting them to valuable employment resources! Today is Women's Equality Day, established by the U.S. Congress in 1971 to commemorate the ratification of the 19th Amendment in 1920, which granted women the right to vote. This day pays tribute to the struggles women have faced, striving for equal representation in all parts of society. Thank you to all the activists who have championed this work and continue to work towards women's empowerment and gender equality! #WomensEqualityDay #EqualityCantWait  Through our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) initiatives, DP works to build systemic gender equity into our employment experience, where equitable access and diversity of voices and thoughts are welcomed and valued. Our goal is for all employees to experience a sense of belonging, and our work is rooted in the firm belief that all people deserve respect and dignity. We strive to embrace and celebrate varied identities and perspectives.
