The State of Delaware is seeking professional services to operate and manage the Delaware Public Education Ombudsperson Program. The Program will focus on family and community engagement and the main roles of the vendor will be to provide assistance, support, and intervention to families and those students who are under the age of 18 years old and those students who are over the age of 18 years old. Each proposal must be accompanied by a transmittal letter which briefly summarizes the proposing firm’s interest in providing the required professional services. The vendor must be able to meet minimum requirements and general evaluation requirements as outlined in the RFP. The Delaware Hispanic Commission had some special guests at our meeting on Tuesday! Delaware Libraries, Delaware Department of State Dr. Annie Norman and Susan Cordle provided an overview of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library and the work to provide newborns and children up to five years old with a FREE book in the mail each month. The Delaware Department of State is accepting nominations for the 2024 John Lewis Youth Leadership Award! The John Lewis Award was established by the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) to honor the extraordinary accomplishments of the late Congressman John Lewis. Eligibility requirements: ➡️ Must be a resident of the State of Delaware. ➡️ Must be 25 years old or younger by the close of the nomination submission period. ➡️ Has demonstrated a meaningful commitment to addressing civil rights issues, including but not limited to voting rights.
