Great opportunity. Go Eagles!
Hi friends! I'm SO excited to share that we're hiring a Regional Recruitment Coordinator for the state of Florida to help recruit students to Georgia Southern University. This is the first time we've made this position regional, so it's a great opportunity for someone to step in and really build strong relationships with schools and counselors. Based on our historical enrollment trends, we're hoping to find someone in or between the Jacksonville and Orlando areas. Feel free to share if you have someone who is still early on in their career, but who has the responsibility to handle something so autonomous! https://lnkd.in/gbs2hFUq #hiring #regionalrecruitment #florida

Thoughts from our colleague Bryan Banks after his first year of being chair at Columbus State. He sees the discipline challenged "by a number of current issues: higher education’s emphasis on career readiness, STEM-focused administrators, the rise of AI, a perceived decline in civil discourse, and attacks on the teaching of hard history." Banks's suggestion--think about community.
As a new department chair presiding over end of year celebrations, Bryan A. Banks “felt compelled to draw together the reasons we were in that room and in that community.” He shares that message in #AHAPerspectives.

Every flag has a face.... With honor and remembrance, on all three campuses of Georgia Southern University, you will find a display of flags which bear a tag that remembers either the fallen loved one of a faculty or staff member or one of the troops from nearby Fort Stewart, killed during one of Third Infantry’s deployments to Iraq, and Afghanistan. Thank you Veterans, we remember. #veteransupport
