This week we set up an ongoing feed for a massive ~70TB data file to a specific part of a bank in partnership with the central platform feed. This is a trend we're seeing more and more of, business users wanting to get their hands on raw data, and having the skills, tools, and know how to deal with it. I think this is only starting. GenAI is just the next wave of powerful platform capabilities that Make data a part of everyone's JD.

"Few people understand what data they really need to make better decisions or understand the capabilities of data to enable better outcomes." McKinsey on the future where we reach "data ubiquity". While this article focuses on data leaders, this has wide ranging implications for the democratization of data opportunities and challenges. Increasingly a far broader stakeholder group in enterprises will become data aware, literate, and capable. Because who better to "understand the capabilities of data to enable better outcomes" than the people closest to the specific business problem? Exciting times.
