A decarbonised industry rhymes with community. And the Decarb Fast Track members perfectly embody this spirit 🌱 Our programme brings together industrialists committed to accelerating decarbonisation by focusing on energy management and the power of data. On October 16th, the second Decarb Fast Track Pioneers Day took place. ➡️ We met with familiar faces, and welcomed Pioneers for whom this was the first in person event with the community. ➡️ Industrialists, partners, energy managers, sustainability managers, engineers, energy experts, financial advisors... The community is a real melting-pot of multiple expertise, and that’s what makes the programme so impactful 💪 For this second edition, we both looked back and forward: 🔙 Looked back on the past year to see all that we achieved onsite, and as a community. 🔜 Looked forward to the final step of our journey together. Thank you to all the Pioneers for their commitment and ambition to push the boundaries of decarbonisation. And a deep thank you to all the partners behind the programme: METRON, Dalkia, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and especially BNP Paribas CIB who welcomed us in their remarkable space in Paris for the event. 🌱 And that is the core of the programme! 🚀 It was wonderful to see both partners and Pioneers share their experience and expertise during the 4th Digital MeetUp. This time, we focused on the digital platform and the data collected 📊 Because digitisation is the 1st step that enables an effective energy management and optimisation. ➡️ Consistency of your data After focusing on the challenges of digitalization and data collection methods during a previous meeting, we addressed the qualification and verification of consistency of data, in order to make them ready to be used in dashboards. 🗣️ Field experiences, live from the community With a great teamspirit, two Pioneers shared with the rest of the community their experience on digitisation and energy optimisation. 1️⃣Sustainability is a teamwork, and the Technical Services Team of Hero Group Spain shared how, in only 1 month, they built their own dashboards to digitise their energy reviews. Their experience highlights that everybody can participate to decarbonization efforts! 2️⃣Rivoarilala RAKOTONDRAMARO from Boortmalt Group presented how they identified several opportunities of optimisation: - saving up to 10% on global energy consumption yearly, - and increasing the sold tonnage, earning an additional €210k... ...all thanks to data analysis, as well as the human #energy and process expertise! 📈 In-depth data analysis made easy with EnergyLab The MeetUp ended with a user-oriented demo of EnergyLab, the data science studio of the platform. Thanks to this feature, the Pioneers can find new optimisation opportunities in complete autonomy. Thank you again to all the Decarb Fast Track Pioneers and partners for nurturing the community. Implementing #decarbonization projects: that was the subject of the 3rd Digital MeetUp! After the first two meetups related to digitalisation and cold production - topics that are relevant for many #industrials, the Pioneers gathered to exchange on how to structure decarbonisation projects. - Baptiste Rialland and Laurent BLAISONNEAU from METRON, introduced how to structure decarbonisation projects, from conception to implementation - Fabien Lantenois from BNP Paribas and Samaher BESBES from WeGrant presented the service Espace Subventions Entreprises that helps companies find public funding - Sandra Vassilion from Dalkia coordinated a testimonial and the workshops aimed at better understanding the Pioneers' experience regarding the first steps of the decarbonisation projects. - Aurore Poirier ended this third edition with the presentation of the @AWS Summit in Paris, where all the Pioneers were welcome to visit! As it is always the case during these meetings, the community of Pioneers openly shared its experience and challenges regarding the implementation of complex #decarbonisation projects. 🚀 We are Pioneers, together! Today we zoom in on Oleon (part of Avril) whose site in Ertvelde (Belgium) enters the programme. Oleon is a company in the oils and proteins industry that combines high performance with biodegradability. It is the leading producer of oleochemicals made from renewable raw materials. The company is part of Avril, an agri-food group committed to providing better food and preserving the Planet. Ludovic Van, Corporate Continuous Improvement Manager and Energy Expert at Oleon, shares his vision: "Oleon and Avril committed to Take action for the Climate, and therefore to reduce by 30% our scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030, compared to 2019. Filiale française du Groupe international allemand, l’entreprise est le multi-spécialiste de services et de produits de fixation, d’outillage et consommables d’atelier destinés aux professionnels. En tant qu'entreprise citoyenne, Würth Group est engagée dans une démarche RSE depuis 2020 qui vise à agir favorablement dans les domaines de l'Énergie, de l'Environnement et du Social. Elle investit massivement dans la transition écologique et a pris des engagements ambitieux afin de réduire son empreinte écologique et d'atteindre la neutralité carbone d'ici 2050. Elle est déterminée à favoriser la diversité et l'inclusion en offrant un environnement de travail respectueux et équitable à tous ses collaborateurs. #Digitalisation of #factories: that was the subject of the 2nd Digital Meetup! One can only reduce what one measures. In that regard, the community gathered to discuss best practices about the digitalisation of their sites. We started with an expert overview of the subject with METRON by Matthieu Vivier: The different categories of digitalisation, how to best determine which assets to digitalise first. Because the field is the best teacher, a team of a pioneer shared their experience. They presented their digitalisation project from its beginnings, and how the Decarb Fast Track programme fits in it. With the support of Yannick LEBORGNE and Sandra Vassilion from Dalkia, we followed with workshops. Together with made a first assessment of the digitalisation levels of the Pioneers, and discussed on their onsite challenges and goals. Finally, Antonio Masto from Amazon Web Services (AWS) went more in depth on the subject of #data as an enabler for #energy monitoring. With the strength of this community, many subjects, avenues for thinking and first-hand experiences were discussed. We're one step forward on the track to decarbonisation! #manufacturing #industry

The Community gathered for the very first Digital Meetup! Last week, 35 of the industrial pioneers of our programme participated in a focus time on #coldproduction. For this first exciting agenda: 🔹Dalkia presented solutions for optimising refrigeration production 🔹Patrick MARTIN and Frédéric Vigier from ASTRA PLASTIQUE SAS (Berry Global, Inc. group) shared their experience on centralised installations of chillers and free cooling. 🔹Each pioneer then shared during workshops their best practices and challenges regarding the cold production management of their sites. This event occured 2 months after the first Pioneers Day last October. The greatest energy performance community is going fast on the track of #decarbonization!
