📢 Attention Hawaiʻi Small Businesses! DBEDT encourages you to participate in the annual Small Business Credit Survey (SBCS) by the Federal Reserve Banks. This important survey gathers insights into the financing needs and challenges faced by small businesses, helping to inform decision-makers nationwide. The survey takes just 10-12 minutes to complete, is confidential, and is open to for-profit businesses with fewer than 500 employees. It closes on Friday, November 1, at 3:00 p.m. Hawaiʻi time. “Your experiences and insights are crucial,” says Dennis Ling, administrator of DBEDT's Business Development and Support Division. By participating, you can contribute to valuable data that will benefit your business and others across the country. 📸 by @hawaiiftz9: Hawai'i Foreign-Trade Zone No. 9 administrator David J. Sikkink represented Hawai‘i at last month's National Association of Foreign-Trade Zones (@_NAFTZ) Annual Conference in New Orleans. Sikkink also serves on NAFTZ’s board of directors. Over 550 FTZ members participated in the annual conference, which is a phenomenal figure considering we are only a couple of years from coming out of a pandemic when in-person gatherings were not being held. The national association also reached 820 members this year, a huge benchmark as the association has never attained this level of membership in the organization's history.
