Companies are becoming more data-centric, but as The Verge reported, the FTC is also cracking down on unethical practices like fake AI-generated reviews, highlighting the need for transparency. 2️⃣ Programmatic Advertising Gains Traction in Retail Media Retail media networks are increasingly embracing programmatic capabilities. According to AdExchanger, shopper audience data is being opened up to programmatic tech, allowing for better targeting while raising questions about privacy and consumer trust. 3️⃣ Localized Advertising: "Go Local or Go Home" Ad Age encouraged brands to “go local or go home” in September, emphasizing how hyper-localized advertising is becoming a critical component of resonant national campaigns.
